Sipho Maseko

Chief Executive Officer

Sipho Maseko was appointed the Group Chief Executive Officer and as an executive director of Telkom on 1 April 2013. He was the Group Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at Vodacom since 2011. Prior to joining Vodacom, Sipho was the Chief Executive Officer of BP Southern Africa (Pty) Limited from 2008 to 2012 and the Chief Operating Officer in 2007. He also served in various positions at BP since 1997. Sipho is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Board of the Centre for Development & Enterprise since 2009 and of Afrox Board since 2012. He served as Chairman of the Board of SAPREF from July 2010 to August 2011.

Brian Armstrong

Chief Operating Officer

Dr Brian Armstrong was appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer of Telkom SA SOC Limited on the 1st of April 2013. He previously served as Managing Director of Telkom Business from May 2011. He also served as Senior Managing Executive for Enterprise Markets. Brian served as Vice President of British Telecoms for Middle East and Africa (MEA), with overall responsibility to oversee and grow BT's activities across the region, extending from Turkey in the North, to Pakistan in the East, down to South Africa. His previous work experience includes South Africa's CSIR, ultimately as the Director of the Division for Information and Communications Technology; South African listed ICT services group AST, as Managing Director of AST Networks, and BT. In all, he has 25 years experience in ICT research and development, telecommunications, technology management, networking services, and outsourcing.

Jacques

Jacques H Schindehütte

Chief Financial Officer

Mr Schindehütte was appointed Chief Financial Officer on 1 August 2011. Prior to joining Telkom, Mr Schindehütte was the Group Financial Director of the Absa Group from 2005 to 2010 and Group Executive Finance and Secretariat Since 1999. He also served as General Finance Manager of Transnet Limited, Chief Marketing and Financial Manager at Portnet (now National Ports Authority) and Financial Advisor at SA Transport Services. Mr Schindehütte has vast board experience, serving as a Director of a number of companies such as Absa Life Assurance, Abvest Asset Management and Absa Short-term Insurance. He also served as Chairman of the Market Risk Committee and Investment committee and as member of various other committees.

Deon

Deon Fredericks

Deputy to the Financial Officer

Deon Fredericks was appointed the Deputy to the Financial Officer in August 2011. He previously served as acting chief financial officer and served as Telkom's group executive of corporate finance accounting services and as chief accountant from November 2004 to August 2010. During this time he was appointed acting chief financial officer from November 2007 - December 2008. He originally joined Telkom SA Limited in 1993 as a senior manager in internal audit and has held several executive positions in the various facets of finance. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and serves as a director of Trudon and Multi-Links. He also serves on the audit committee of Trudon and Multi-Links. Fredericks stepped down as acting chief financial officer effective from 31 July 2011.

Ouma was appointed Chief of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs in November 2007. Advocate Rasethaba joined Telkom in 2006 as Group Executive of Regulatory and Public Policy. She is a former special director of Public Prosecutions at the National Prosecuting authority.

Chief of Human Resources

Telkom appointed Thami Msubo as Chief of Human Resources in January 2011. Previously he was Chief of Human Resources, Corporate Affairs and Empowerment at Tata. With 20 years' experience in human resources, he is an internationally acclaimed HR expert with hands-on experience and specialisation in Transformation, Business Culture Change, Leadership Development, Organisational Development and Next Practices. A seasoned business leader who spent four years in Germany as a business trainee and post-graduate scholar, he has held senior HR, Corporate Affairs and Transformation roles in multinational companies abroad and locally in both Greenfield operations and established companies. Thami served as a member of the Board of Directors of the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE). He also served as former Deputy Chair of Business Against Crime (BAC), Northern KwaZulu-Natal Branch.

Bashier Sallie

Bashier Sallie was appointed Managing Director of Wholesale & Networks in May 2011. He was the Senior Managing Executive for Wholesale and Networks since August, 2009. Bashier also served as Group Executive for Information Technology from November 2007 to August 2009. Between January 2002 and October 2007, Bashier served in various Managing Executive roles, including Data & Special Services, Service Management and Field Operations. He also served as the Company's acting Chief Technical Officer from March 2007 to October 2007. Bashier joined Telkom in 1986 and served most of his early tenure in technology and network services.

Manelisa

Manelisa Mavuso

Manelisa Mavuso has been appointed as Managing Director of Telkom Consumer Services in May 2011.

He has gained vast experience as Account Director, Deputy MD for the Cape business and Group Business Director at Ogilvy. He has also worked as Marketing Manager at Levi Strauss. In August 2005, Manelisa became the Head of Marketing for the retail banking services division at Nedbank. He was subsequently appointed as Divisional Director for Marketing for the Retail Division. In these roles he has overseen the increased profile of Nedbank Retail product propositions in the market, and has improved product sales and general relevance of Nedbank in the total market. Early 2009 Manelisa joined Standard Bank as Marketing Director for SA.

Attila

Attila Vitai

Attila Vitai was appointed Managing Director of Telkom Mobile on 14 November 2012. Attila served Vodafone from 1999 to 2006, initially as Global Commercial Director before moving to Hungary in 2000, being CEO of Vodafone's newly acquired Turkish subsidiary where he was responsible for growing market share to 27%. Attila left Vodafone in 2008 and became investor in a number of small technology companies in the UK, providing them with strategic and operations advice. During the same period he also consult in the Telecoms industry.

Attila was a Trustee of the Philharmonic Orchestra, London from 1992 to 1998 and Chairman of the Hungarian Golf Federation from 2003 to 2006. He was appointed OBE in 2005 during which year he also received the Knight's Cross of Hungary.
